Conceptual design for a modular play space: City Parklet

OBJECTIVE:

• A city’s government wants to temporarily utilize busy spaces and transform them into playful spaces around the city where people gather and spend time.

BANANAZ TASK:

• create conceptual project design for mobile play platform that references to existing planters and sitting arrangements
• integrate existing platforms with planters and seating areas
• no foundation and minimal to no safety surfacing
• one side shall feature a barrier to separate it from street traffic, along with a visually appealing facade design

RESULT:

• Project presentation showing 4 concepts, followed up by a revision with modified elements and differentiating colour concept
